I got a dog named Koozie and my neighbor Darell is obsessed with him. He sends me texts when he is drunk…

Games@lemmy.world•Crimson Desert Includes Denuvo DRM, To Nobody’s DelightEnglish
5·1 month agothank you guys. Besides the updates size being so large, which is indeed annoying, my biggest concern is its effect on performance. The game looks very ambitious and computationally intensive by itself, so i am curious about how will it run when adding this extra layer of computation. I guess, as always, it is a good idea to take my time and see the reviews before jumping into buying it.

Little Nightmares and the new game Reanimal, which is looking amazing, are also by swedish studio Tarsier.
I’m not an expert, but I never understood why people would prefer PoS over PoW. Indeed, the latter requires to “waste” larger amounts of energy, but doesn’t PoS favor rich groups of people colluding against the blockchain timeline?
I completely agree with you. I am just frustrated at the fact that everything seems to get rotten sooner or later.
Just for the record, I personally use Vanadium on Android, which is what comes by default in GrapheneOS. So far I am happy with it as well.
I also keep an eye on ladybird, but they still have a long road to walk before i consider it a viable option for my day to day.
There’s been a somewhat recent controversy with regards to stock Firefox selling our data. Many switched to LibreWolf fork after that.

Games@lemmy.world•I finally decided to go full piracy against big companiesEnglish
8·6 months agoI don’t know if its the age or perhaps I unconciously became sick of the practices OP describes, but the games I genuinelly enjoy playing the most nowadays are mainly AA or Indie. And ofc, I don’t mind paying full price for them.
A non-exhaustive list of those I loved:
- Outer Wilds (became my favourite game of all times)
- Inside/Limbo
- Little Nightmares
- Sifu
- The standley parable
- Still awakes the deep
- Gris/Neva
- Firewatch
- Journey/Abzu/The Pathless/Sea of Sword
- Rainworld
- No man’s sky (a special case, I know)
- Cocoon
- Unravel
- Stray
- Below
- Far
- Pacific Drive
- The invincible

3·7 months agoI understand that having the tablet and the phone running the same OS might be an advantage, but have you checked out GrapheneOS for your Pixel? I’ve been using it for a year now and I’m very pleased. Also it is increadibly easy to install.

1·8 months agoI am not an expert so don’t quote me here, but I think there are ways of bypassing the agent switcher/spoofer (like chameleon) revealing the true browser you are using… that would actually make you MORE fingerprintable.

9·9 months agoI use an app called GoMore in some places in Europe that allows you to rent cars from other peers. The rental process is cheaper and faster–everything is done through the app–and you avoid these shady corpo practices.
