It can depend of state to state too. In Oklahoma, our cost of living is considered low but we have a high poverty rate. Our median income per household is 67k, and single income is 35k. Childcare for infants averages around $800 a month

It’s kinda funny, this is what Texas did to Oklahoma in regards to our teachers. Put up billboards saying that they paid more in Texas. It’s depressing but it worked lol.

1·1 year agoWe used to have inspection in Oklahoma but I think it violated our “freedom” so they got rid of it.
Well I guess my thought process is that this country keeps voting in Republicans in Congress, for judge seats, for presidents, so legally how much can they accomplish when they are in control for just 2 years? Personally I think they should target smaller communities and do more grass roots stuff but that doesn’t help when such important laws like human rights or environmental protections are being immediately stripped.

DEI means diversity, equity, and inclusion. Generally loose frameworks to promote equality for all people. Big talking point for the right, they hate it.
