Conspiracy theories are an outlet. People need a reason for why society is not as good as they feel it could be.

Most people blame the other political party. But that doesn’t work for everybody. The mind keeps looking until it finds a reason, and then it fades out all arguments that oppose it.

We laugh about conspiracy theorists, but most have the same mindset, just with socially acceptable topics.

There is no general answer because by default, the majority wins.

For education, I would focus on a small number of communities and pool all resources to figure out what works.

Then use the desire of other communities for the hopefully existing improvements to spread the system.

The future looks less bleak if the goal is not to live the life of that generation. There is AI, there are mobile phones, there is solar power and many more things.

When things are expensive, it means that few resources are used. This is good for the environment.

The big difference is that communication is free. We can talk to almost anybody in the world. This is still a huge untapped potential. That generation had a good life, but ours can be better.

  • palatable to moderate voters while the bulk of the party is free to find their crowd among radicalized Covid protesters and neonazis.

So the covid protesters could have become the majority if they all had joined.

AfD was not first, remember the NPD. The NPD could have been equally popular or the AfD could have been equally ignored.

    a massive worldwide conspiracy

Surprisingly I don’t know and I don’t care. The relevant part is that most problems have a solution which is ignored by those who should know better. Leaders don’t stand up but remain quiet.

There can be one, there can be many, there can be inertia or human shortcomings. The strange part is that people ignore issues as if they are indeed a conspiracy that they cannot change instead of pushing for change.

The AfD has received surprisingly much attention. Whatever the cause, that has to change or the successor party will become equally popular.

That said, there must be huge conspiracies. Cumex is one. There can be bigger ones, there are definitely many more smaller ones.

    Thanks again.

they put absolutely minimal work into it

I don’t believe this. The small shareholders do, but not the ones who choose the board.

The Waltons have to stay up to date unless they accept that Amazon takes over. Likewise, Bezos will work to keep his company in the lead.

Bezos bought a big house in Washington, not Florida. He will be busy all day most of the days.
