I’ve done it straight through a few times when I was younger, but never cleanly. It’s damn hard.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do yall think about parents who Never let their Kids Watch spongebob?
5·1 month agoKids can handle much more than most adults give them credit for. If someone’s concerned about their kids misunderstanding something, maybe… yah know… watch it with them?
0% support to authoritarian-wannabe parents who try to control their kids’ access to information.

Technology@lemmy.world•Online age-verification tools spread across U.S. for child safety, but adults are being surveilledEnglish
1·1 month agoMy head hurts.
If there’s a legitimate health and safety concern, I’m not saying a parent can’t say no, but a parent telling a kid their expression has to be limited by their parents’ own biases is too far. So… no playing tag on the freeway, but a parent shouldn’t be able to tell a kid to expeess themselves in ways they don’t want to or follow a religion they don’t want to follow.
In the US when I was growing up, some kids got kicked out of their homes for being queer or for not being “Christian” enough. This is what comes to mind.

…so just use the word “M’kay”!
