try using something other than ubuntu-based systems, like CachyOS or fedora. It’s likely a hardware issue. I’ve always had problems with Ubuntu-based distros that i never seem to have with arch-based or fedora-based.

That’s newer hardware than what i’ve got, and I know ram is expensive now, but I paid ~$100 USD for my thinkcenter M800 and it has been great.

Mine did not come with SSD though, and instead had a 3TB HHD.

for real. Been using wayland on NixOS with nvidia gpu for several months now without issue. The only problem’s I’ve had are with sway, because their devs hate nvidia and refuse to support it, and i refuse to use nouveau. Solution: don’t use sway.

I haven’t had an issue with this at all. I’d say over 50% of the time, if I communicate with other players that I don’t intend to kill them, we end up working together.
