My good pal Owen recently gave me a collection of about 180 CDs as he had digitised them and wanted to free up space. What do you do with all this new music? Well, it seemed to me that the best way to get to grips was to construct a plunderphonics set from them.

It's a massive haul covering noise, hip-hop, contemporary composition, jazz, industrial, and much more. Plunderphonics (or, as John Oswald called it, "Audio Piracy as Compositional Prerogative") seems very in keeping with the vibe.

The rules were simple:
1) Use a sample from every single album,
2) No other sources can be used, and
3) Other than chopping and volume, no effects on the samples.

In some ways, this is a lot of the music that inspired our hip-hop duo, Sileni. So, consider this a Sileni DJ mix. It just happens to be the most demented DJ mix ever.
