A desktop art and photo editing app, no account, no subscription. Built for anyone who wants real tools without the overwhelm. Casual enough for kids, capable enough for creators who know what they want.

What makes it different

Four layer types — Raster, text, shape, and emoji layers. Each one stays fully editable and non-destructive until you say so.

Per-layer effects — Drop shadow, outer glow, and stroke on every layer type, including shapes and emoji.

Real brush feel — Four brush shapes with rotation, adjustable hardness, and flow rate. The eraser uses the exact same shape system as the brush.

Full project save — Save and reload entire projects with all layers intact, or export a flat PNG any time.

What's coming

Dynamic canvas resizing: Layers will expand automatically when you draw near the edge, so nothing ever gets clipped.

Mirror and flip transforms: Horizontal flip, vertical flip, and a free-form squash-and-stretch mode.

Layer linking: Group layers together so moving one moves them all. Merge linked layers into one when you're done.

Layer Groups: organize your layer stack.

Lasso selection: Click to place points and draw any freeform selection shape you need.

Interface improvements: Custom tool icons, theme face lift.

• Workflow: This version is for testing and feedback purposes; it is not yet intended for mission-critical work.
• File Compatibility: Future updates may include breaking changes. Your project files may not be compatible between different versions of the app.

🪳 Known Bugs and Issues for V 04.01.2104

Canvas Clipping: Any layers created too close to the edge of the canvas will be clipped  - Will be corrected with Dynamic canvas resizing.

DPI Downscaling: Any high DPI image will be downscaled to 72DPI when saved to PNG.

Vector Emoji Layers: Layer icon doesn't reflect vector state.

Layer Opacity: Layer opacity slider doesn't always reflect layers actual opacity level.

Layer Merge: Doesn't exist yet.

No project file breaking changes have been made. If you find anything wrong please report it.

Photodoodle +Plus is in active development. Follow the project to catch updates as new features land. Feedback and bug reports are always welcome.
