Its not lemmy, but their App. Yes, there are some closed source lemmy Apps that for some reason exist, which are (in this case) just Clones of other Apps like jerboa.
Sync was actually a closed source client for Reddit that pivoted to Lemmy after the API changes. Still saves images to a folder called reddit_sync, even.

Sync was released 6 years before Lemmy. I promise you Sync did not copy Jerboa's layout.
You're on light mode I guess? Otherwise looks the same. The ads are some google ads plugin so I guess it's picked up me searching about it on google by accident at some point (I usually use duckduckgo)
The ad banner never gets larger than the one you see in the picture for me. Weird idk
