French toast is 100% better, any naysayers will be punished appropriately. We will not make excuses for the terror.

The french name for french toast is pain perdu, which translates to lost bread. The name suggests that it is intended to be made with bread that would otherwise gone to waste, often made with stale bread. This is a breakfast of working people.

Oatmeal is the breakfast of the people:

    • Base is oats. Non-processed slop

    • Fully customizable (CHUDs hate character customization already and declare it “woke”)

    • Oats are relatively affordable, cinnamon and fruit add flavor and are also inexpensive

    • Overnight oats are a reliable way to get a quick breakfast in before work.

Breakfast is bourgeois. True communists just have a thermos of coffee, black, made at home, on their way to work, while reading theory (obviously, real commies ride the train or the bus, not a personal vehicle), duh!

Most important meal of the day? Bourgeois lies! Big Breakfast made that up to sell packaged breakfast foods!

I know. I just saw a great video essay on the rise of convenience breakfasts the other day that brought that up, it's still fresh in my mind. Thought it fit the bit, and it helps that it's actually true. Unlike most of what gets posted on Hexbear.

Waffles. My waffle maker from the junk aisle at Aldis has lasted for like 5 years at this point

Arepas/pupusas/tortillas, comrade. Corn based breakfast is by far my favorite. If I have to choose though, I prefer french toast made with very thick slices of bread, so it gets really custardy in the center.

My sister married into a Central American family and now I get free papusas every time I visits. It's become a go to breakfast for me.

French toast is easier, but I find pancakes more satisfying and I can add fruit to pancakes.

One pro-tip for French toast: add some cinnamon (or any variant on “warm spice” mix) to the wash/batter.

My mum always did it by sprinkling cinnamon on top of each side after coating with egg. It is indeed good. People make it without cinnamon?

Toast gang toast gang toast gang

ah yeah im just going to make flavorless floppy communion bread when i could be out here impregnating strong, hardy, flavorful stale bread with even more flavor before frying them. utterly insane comparison
