Are they seriously finger wagging a country for cracking down on people for collaborating with and supporting the enemy while said enemy is in the process of invading the country? “You are so authoritarian for not rolling over and letting us massacre you.”

weird way to say activated and deployed reserve militas. but nah they are just "gangs" consisting of a huge portion of the population

of course the eventual U.S. form of this will be the opposite and horrifying. i'm sure the current U.S. regime is getting some nasty ideas from it

but for these ones, good hunting and i hope the hunt bears fruit

      There are three main groups:

The Bolivarian Militia: Literally just a militia that helps the army and police, basically reserve units that exist to protect in case of a coup like in 2002.

The Colectivos: Armed Civilians who support the goverment but have no tie with the Police or Army, these pre-dates Hugo Chavez's goverment.

The Bolivarian Forces of Liberation: A very small guerrilla army that exists in Venezuela and seems to give critical support to the goverment, they barely controls anything and exists more or less as a local paramilitary organization for the state of Apure's goverment.

can you imagine if US paramilitaries that already go door to door looking for non-whites to deport to concentration camps had to just balance themselves, let alone travel and patrol, on motorcycles, instead of being carted around in mine-resistant armored vehicles?

80% would be hospitalized 20 minutes into their first deployment.

There's a bit in the recent Naked Gun where the baddie and a bunch of goons jump on motorcycles, and because nobody else knows how to ride a motorcycle they all just start crashing into each other. It's great.

If you support the head of a nation that is actively aggressing your own nation, then yeah you probably should look over your shoulder. That's basic personal security.
