If you had to bet money on it, you'd say he's definitely out of there at the next election. But, it being Sanchez, you wouldn't bet much — nobody expected him to be president after the last election either!

I think this is a little unfair on Owen Jones tbh. His criticisms of Corbyn were made in good faith imo — he just has soppy electoralist politics. And he's always been pretty good on international stuff, including Palestine. He's basically Hassan levels of imperfection

Yeeeeep. With everything so turbulent there's still the chance things go the other way — the war in Iran is putting the european right in quite a bind. It's not looking good right now though

Very much this - I used to rely a lot in tutorials, devlogs etc to learn new patterns etc, but now search is so bad that LLMs are basically the only game in town
I guess it depends how you define it. I just don't think you can say "they're not Catholic", or even "they're more evangelical than Catholic" because the truth is the Catholic community has incredibly diverse politics, and depending on where you live it's going to mean different things. Where I live for example, if someone identifies as Catholic they are 100% a fascist. But then if you live in an anglo country it's all liberation theology and the IRA.
Very true. I think a lot of it has to do with opus tbh — and the truth is that the Vatican has been very hesitant to deal with them because 'trad' caths are an influential (and numerous!) part of the community that they don't want to lose in a rupture. Also, I suppose it's helpful to have some ultras to do your dirty work for you while you keep your hands clean. They're definitely part of the church, is what I'm saying, and I apologize for perhaps being prickly about the topic but I feel like I'm constantly seeing online leftists implying that things would be different if only the anglos would come back to Rome, when the reality is that the prots/catholics are the bad guys when they have institutional power — there's no theological basis to it
Lmao yes they are. And I'm afraid all those supreme court justices count as real Catholics too

Trump's going to threaten to destroy Notre Dame or something isn't he
One day soon a Chinese astronaut is going to take a selfie with Armstrong's flag, and the butthurt will be palpable

Why is everyone debating these utterly meaningless tweets

Beat himself off more like EYOOOO
Ah ok that makes sense. I believe plasma does HDR out of the box too, amongst other cool things
What's wrong with Cinnamon? I use it because we share a computer and it was the closest thing to Windows look-wise for non-linuxy family members. Interested to hear what advantages plasma has though!
I always found that creating your civ was really exciting and then it went downhill from there lol
In the early days of her channel her whole schtick was that she would get for real rat-arse drunk over the course of a rant. She's always leant so heavily into the messhead aesthetic lol
similar timescale for the NHS in the UK tbf. And the UK was broke at the time. These things can happen very quickly when there is political will.
