In the Netflix documentary “Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War,” talking about MAD (mutually assured destruction) somebody makes a statement similar to this:

“If one nuke gets launched, they all get launched. And they take 30 minutes to reach any point on earth, so the average person will have no idea WHY the world is ending, they’re just gonna see nukes blowing everything up.”

But if it happened right now… we’d all know exactly what the fuck happened, and exactly who to blame.

“AI powered. Not newsroom reviewed.”

Not saying it’s wrong, but I’d rather not elevate this kind of journalism.

I lived and worked on that island for 5 years. Lovely place.
