    As a neurodivergent, white, cis-hetero, USA dweller, I'd like to tentatively volunteer.

    Though I don't make many actual posts, I comment relatively often and if you're in the matrix chat, you've probably seen me around. I know I don't fit the criteria laid out above, and for that reason I don't really expect to be chosen, nor will I be upset if I am not, as I'm sure there are many more appropriate candidates.

    However, if for some reason someone more qualified or better fitting fails to come along, I'd be more than happy to help out around here. This place is wonderful and I'm glad to have gotten to know many of you, so I throw my proverbial hat into the ring.

    You're supposed to think your condition is those things and that you aren't your condition, rather you are you (whomever that may be), affected by a condition.

    For me there was a difference between "I'm all the shitty things I know myself to be" and then finding out about my definite ADHD / possible autism. My mindset changed from "I am the unmanageable problem" to "I have some problems that can be addressed ". Helped me quite a bit to have a little shift in paradigm.

    I have two I will be using in my next campaign:

    Ring of attunement: Provides 1 extra attunement slot. (Requires attunement)

    Event Staff: This staff allows the wielder to gain unquestioned entry into any "employees only" areas or zones otherwise off-limits to the public. Anyone (including actual staff or other officials) who sees the wielder in one of these areas will assume they are a known employee or other official who is granted special access to the area. Unfortunately, they will all also view the wielder as the least competent and least trustworthy employee or official with the organization. Any actions taken in the area are likely to be closely watched and highly scrutinized by any observer who would know better.

    ETA: One from the current campaign in which I am a player character. Our DM thought of this one:

    Bullet of Healing:

    This magical bullet can be loaded into any firearm. Whomever is shot by this bullet first receives 1d6 piercing damage followed by 1d10 healing. If the initial damage causes recipient's HP to fall below 0 before the bullet's healing effects begin, they will fall unconscious and will not gain any healing effect from the bullet. Instead, one death save is automatically passed.

    I think I'm for it, but I also don't know if I understand the implications. So, some questions:

    • Is there a downside?

    • Would this be in addition to lemmy or a replacement?

    • If it is in addition to, is that the permanent plan, would this be working toward an eventual switch-over?

    I should probably try piefed a bit so I understand it a bit better, but it's just a different Lemmy basically, right? Does it federate with existing Lemmy?

    If it doesn't federate with what we already have, I'd have to keep up with two things, and two is a big number, so I'd probably just pick one and stay there.

    Anyway, exciting nonetheless. I'll go eat some pie now and see what that's all about.
