Arren Seraphim was designed for sleep but I mostly use it to work. It evokes an ever-distant sense of something unknown, sublime, and highly compelling. Perhaps it's that "ungraspable phantom of life" Melville intimated in Moby Dick? Whatever the case, it pulls me forward to somewhere I can't see over the horizon. Not to find a clean drop of salvation in an effluent life, but to seek all the waters above heaven. This trilogy is Tehomic, beyond holy.

reverie22 It was 4 years ago on a winter night that I listened to the first installment of Seraphim. Since then, I've grown a fascination with dark ambient sounds and much more, and I am happy to say this is my main inspiration. Favorite track: Seraph XXI.

Mer de Revs: Seraphim III

"And when the night arrives, I'll become the sea. Wave after wave, mysterious and infinite."

A study in deliberately soothing textures designed to give the listener space to find stillness and collapse into rest - late night lullabies.

The recording session for the album, which is the third part of the Seraphim trilogy, took place under extraordinary circumstances. Instead of recording it over a long period, we decided to condense everything into one subtle and quiet session. We recorded it live, with full focus, at night, in half light, by the sea. Most of the tracks were already in form, but the rest came out of what happened during that one night. We closed the final part of the trilogy the way we felt it should be closed — in half light, without stretching the process artificially, just here and now. The recording session fully captures the spirit of Seraphim — it is an album full of intimacy yet grandeur, like a wave crashing against the shore in moments of silence, only to disappear into the abyss.

Put in on your headphones, close your eyes and press play. We hope you’ll enjoy the music as much as we did recording it. As always - THANK YOU for listening and your support.
