How does your game fit the theme?
We interpreted the theme using the expression "to be in the loop", meaning "to be aware of information". The game has a narrative that revolves around the gossip in an apartment building, and the player character has the "quest" of putting his neighbor in the loop.

Very unique take on the "loop" theme, I dig it!! I love how you guys were experimental with the visual too and the embaixadinha mechanic. Wish there was some unsettling background music to tie it all together! Great work guris!

Such a cool art style! The narrative is really interesting and matches the art in such an interesting way. The juggling could have been a bit easier but it wasn't so punitive either. I do wish the camera moved a bit faster tho, turning around felt so heavy on this. Nevertheless, a really interesting and creative entry, I love it!

Also, VAMO GREMIO!

The style and art is very unique. I loved the plot and vibe of the whole thing.

some bugs i got in a couple of playthroughs on windows:

  1. the item to juggle went out of screen and didnt came back
  2. the item to juggle fell and didnt came back
  3. couldn't close the missions with tab
  4. the item to juggle got stuck at the top of the screen and the game went as i had finished (in my first playthrough i thought i was holding a football lol)

really excited to revisit this project after the jam!! super engaging

We’re happy you liked the experience despite of the bugs :D

We will definitely update and polish the game after the jam! Thanks again for playing and for the feedback!

Very cool game! As expected, I’m great at juggling, but terrible at moving the player. Plus, I feel like I know some of the characters… a strange feeling. Keep up the good work, everyone!

And don’t forget to rate Infinity Ball!!

Thanks for playing! You might’ve recognized some of our actors from the last Oscar nominees list XD

What a cool and creative art style and setting. Congratulations guys!

Hey Luis! Thanks for the kind words!! :)

I loved the atmosphere on this! It has a PS1 vibe to it, which fits the theme very well. I also liked all the characters, it's impressive how you conveyed so many different personalities in the restrictions of a jam. The animations were a big plus, they were simple yet effective in showcasing different personalities!

I don't know how I feel about the minigame mechanics, they added a new layer of engagement, but after a while they got a bit repetitive. I think this type of game would benefit from some point-and-click influence - like, instead of juggling you could get items from a neighbour to be delivered to another (I would love to see the guy who can't sleep sending an angry note to the one with the lound soundbox XD). Maybe it's worth checking out the LucasArts games for this ref.

Also, I think the techniques you used have the potential to be expanded into multiple entries. You could change the environment, but also change the artstyle - I would love to see you guys turning into SNES characters with some donkey kong filters XD. Awesome game and awesome work, congrats!

Developer(+1)

Heyyyy Marina, thanks for the kind words and feedback! I’ll look into these refs for sure!!

Yeah, during this project we fell in love with the technique of using edited live-action footage in game. It was so much fun and we will definitely explore other ways of using that!

Thanks for playing!! :)

Yooo same game name gang! I really like the vibe and look of your game, though I kept failing the juggling (that's probably on me tho). The knocking sound is so eerie!

Developer(+1)

Heyyy, glad you enjoyed! Yeah, we have some work to do to balance the different juggling levels haha. Thanks for playing :) I’ll check your game out soon

I was asked to juggle the diary 15 times but only managed like 5 and got a chocolate prize. For some reason I thought I could attempt again for another prize or something but then the game glitched and got stuck on an empty text bubble. I was enjoying the game very much until that point. Some similarities with my game with having irl photos brought to the game as characters, or so I assume. Very cool vibes, sad I didn't make it to the end.

Developer(+1)

I’m sorry you experienced this glitch. Yes, those were irl photos and videos! It was a very fun technique to play around with. I’ll check your game out later! I’m glad you enjoyed the vibes, thank you for playing!

the idea is brilliant!

Developer

I’m glad you liked it! Thanks for playing! :)

The characters are well done! The dialogue and items juggled made each character feel a bit different. Perhaps some more audio signals or environmental tracks would help set the scene a bit more. The juggling was fun, but maybe there's some sort of player interaction variation as you meet more people (quick time knife dodge, the opponent introducing more items while you juggle). I like the idea a lot though, cool game!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback and thanks for playing! :)

I liked the idea, but the camera sensitivity was really slow.

Submitted(+2)

I also experienced this. A sensitivity slider would be perfect.

Developer

Yeah, that was a last minute bug that we couldn’t fix :/ Thanks for playing! :)
