I love this! It's so well done and a fun game design

This one was super sick! I love the aesthetic and art work. I played for a good while but wasn't able to light all 4 flames but I had a really fun time anyway. I love the interesting balance you feel between skull, card, and time management. I also appreciate how it doesn't take long to have a handle on what all your options are. Like, I was able to understand that I wanted to acquire skulls so I could play suns while being time efficient. And that's all I really needed to know and could be surprised by all the other cards in the deck without feeling like "Oh well how was I supposed to know that this card was in the deck. It would have changed my strategy". So that was really nice.

Really enjoyed this one. Well done!

Cool idea and very nice artwork style! You should try to develop this further after the event, when you have more time :D

The artwork on these cards is fantastic. I wish there had been slightly clearer visual markers for placing them on the mat, and the bonus for making pairs or three-of-a-kinds could have been a bit bigger. Still, I'm really happy I got the chance to play!
By the way, our game is also a card game, so I think it will be interesting for you to see, maybe sweep some mechanics for your cool game

This game looks great and I really like the core conceit of trading amongst resources: time, cards in hand, skulls, candle flames.

Some critique: The audio could stand to be a fair bit louder (or better, have a volume slider) and the feedback between me playing cards and their effects occurring could stand to be a good bit clearer. It's a little disconnected as it stands.

I hope you bring this game to full status and put it up on Steam. I'd buy it.

Was difficult to figure out how to play cards at first.  After I got going, was fun and the art style is beautiful.

Brilliant little game, loved the art style! Would love to see this with a little more time and polish put into it, would make a really good game :3

The graphics are great! The music is nice, though the volume might be too low compared to the SFX (I usually have the opposite problem). The cardplay is pretty engaging.

The interface is a little fiddly. I sometimes had trouble placing cards on the mat because the cards in my hand were getting in the way.

Also, I was playing in fullscreen mode, but could not see the entire viewport; for example, I could not see the top half of the hourglass or the bottom of the cards.

Thanks, Im not sure why it ends up being zoomed in sometimes, but its such an annoying issue :(

The cards are really well designed. Could have had some more visual queues to help understand how to put the cards on the mat and maybe more rewards for making pairs and three of a kind, but I'm glad I could play this!

Love the graphics and gameplay! I had really fun playing this and to light all the lights. My only wish would be if you could add a little more UI to make the easier to understand what to do at the start. Really good work!

Really cool! only complaint is the knife got stuck off screen

Developer

It happens very rarely and I had no idea how to fix it :(

The aesthetic here is immaculate! Every single card frame, menu animation, and UI element is polished to perfection. Easily one of the best-looking games in the jam!

Thank you!

Looks beautiful. i was hoping that skulls will fall out of  the bowl but it didnt happen :D

Really stunning looking game.  Sounds great too.  I'm amazed at how many skulls fit into that tiny bowl!

Beautiful game! I liked the different resources you needed to balance.

A couple times my dagger never came back :(

Great game, I got Inscryption vibes. I had a great time with it.

I feel that the game was more about how you react to the cards you get rather than having a mid- or long-term strategy. I don't know exactly what you aimed for. Sometimes, it's just throwing a card without any effect to redraw, which happened a lot during my runs and felt a bit bad. Maybe I didn't play it enough or didn't fully understand everything.

I feel there is not enough reward for playing multiple cards together, and the draw system could be changed a bit so that redrawing multiple times in one round costs more, or maybe has a limit, I don't know.

The card pool sometimes felt weird, like drawing more Sacred Flame cards than base Skull cards in my hand. Well, this type of game is hard to balance, so for a jam, it's already really cool.

Overall, great art, great sound design, and a great card system. I want more of it. GG!!!

Yeah I agree gameplay design could've been better, but as always I spent too much time on some bs and could barely finish the loop in time

My FPS was a bit low but pretty cool idea!
