Awesome game, this is my kind of game, didnt understand the wall walking at first but once I learned that and got used to the controllers I had a great time, great work!

Really hard (at first) but eventually got used to the controls. Love the pixel art and the walking on walls mechanic is really unique!

I like the take on the theme, bold to not include one actual countdown anywhere which I actually appreciated. In terms of feedback, I did give some on stream https://www.twitch.tv/nebsterlive but in text form, I would rather some better contrast between the objects on screen as everything slightly blends into one and the music could do with continuing between attempts instead of resetting as I died... a lot. Good work!

Great game! The pixel art is beautiful and the death effect is amazing. I love the music, and it fits perfectly the gameplay. It's very hard but is very addictive. Congrats!

I absolutely love the art style you've used here - it's gorgeous and it adds such character to the game! The audio is really great too, gave me pure retro energy.

I struggled with the controls initially, but once I got used to them I made a lot more progress and really enjoyed myself. Had a few crashes when there were multiple visual effects on screen, but I think that's something you've already noted below.

Really great game though, had a blast playing!

We're definitely interested to hear about the crashes! I think we've found all the places where significant lag has happened, but I don't think we've seen the crashes you mention. If you have any thoughts of where to look, please let us know!

I think the first crash was on the initial boot when playing in the browser - when the fire graphics are loading at the top of the tower, there was some significant stutter and then it just froze entirely. By the time it caught up to itself I'd hit the 'Death' screen. Entirely possible it was just the device I was playing on tbf

Love the art style and platforming. It was a little difficult during the first couple falls, would have been nice if it were a bit more guided at the start.

I really appreciate the style and the gameplay is very original.

Very nice looking game but I have to say it's spiking lags like crazy. Love how hard it is, addictive.

Developer

Yes it would definitely be interesting to look into the lag spike after the game jam! Sorry it's been causing trouble, it was surprising to see it was a problem besides the main menu screen start up, since almost everything is already loaded in behind the main menu screen.

web version did some big lag spikes for me on initial load that made me die, but when downloaded had a really great time! Stellar style!

Very hard jumps and I like it! Great game!

The art of this game is amazing! The gameplay is very cool. My only suggestion is to maybe have some easy start to learn how to play, because I´ve died several times in the first few seconds until I was able to understand the movement. But overall a very good game

Cool game! Dracula kinda drops like a rock though, hard to make some of these jumps.

Enjoyed so much playing this one, had to retry a few times to get the hang of it and that let me appreciate a lot the artwork and the music, great job!

I loved the effect of the tower burning down. Very cool!

Oooh loved the color palette and the music!! I had a hard time getting the hang of the game but it's rewarding :)

Fun premise and beautiful art, but too tough for me. I had trouble landing on the one-tile wide platforms. It's a good thing that the Death screen is so pretty!

Submitted(+1)

The art is so pretty! I kept dying, having issues getting past the first 5 seconds. Probably a me problem.

Submitted(+1)

The art direction is a top notch, but oh boy how many times i lost :)

Wow, this is super fun and I really enjoy the art direction. Having the flames of sunlight chase after you as they spell death of the screen is awesome. After a few runs, muscle memory started to kick in so I was able to progress further. The controls and movement felt crisp and clean.

The only thing I found myself having to do was exit the full screen to know how to get passed the death screen… Press “R” :), which I should’ve know as it’s the same button I use in my game, which is also about a vampire.
