My goto for plugged drains is always 2 tbsp sodium hydroxide powder dumped directly down the drain chased with 1 cup of extremely hot water then plunging the piss out of it after it sits for about 5 min and then flushing the drain with plenty of hot water. That method hasn’t failed me yet. You just need to be very careful especially with the plunging step because, well, you’re plunging a drain full of hot lye. Out of all the ways to inflict chemical burns or lose an eye, that is certainly one of them.
