Switching to Linux was so helpful. Windows whenever there was an update literally ate up my performance for some reason. 50% RAM just gone (6 GB total). I bet it was just a lack of optimization for less powerful PCs but it was still aggravating

Small PCs are crazy. There’s something so cool and novel about the size being so small they can almost fit in your palm.

I enjoyed Cobblemon, but I kept going back too Pixelmon because it bothered me the way some of the models were adapted lol. I know it’s a minor cosmetic change but something about some of them rubbed me the wrong way. Still have a lot of respect for the mod though

Probably my favorite of the ones I took. I feel like it’s easier too take serious “action” screenshots but there’s something really special about pictures that aren’t afraid too mess around

I have been, i hadn’t realized it affected the weather like that though. That’s a cool detail

I’ve thought about it a few times. Honestly the main thing stopping me is forgetfulness and the fact that shooting photos of people is my preferred subject, and I most of my friends I take pictures of probably wouldn’t be chill with the pictures floating around somewhere they can’t see lol. I have messed with macro and stuff though, so maybe I’ll do it then

Seeing the tactical tag has me intrigued. I’ve only played a few tactic games (Namely Stellaris and the 3DS Fire Emblem Games) and enjoyed them. So maybe I’ll look into it

Exactly what i was thinking of when i was taking that screenshot

I love the PlayStation controllers but they’re way too small lol. I started to develop carpal tunnel from my PS3 one until I corrected my form.

Fair enough lol. Carpal Tunnel runs in my family so I can relate a little to your issue. The lack of dual input has honestly been a bit of an issue for me too because I could have OBS bound to the DEL key to save the last 30 seconds. Then the moment I hit it, it locks up controls until it manages to switch back. Absolute nightmare when trying to play infection. I wish there was a way to bypass it. Maybe something with steam input. Idk

I own my Dad’s childhood copy branded with the old Hollywood video brand from back in the day. I know it’s not as impressive as a Japanese Copy with a manual and box, but in a way too me it’s valuable too have that little piece of history that’s unique in its own way

Last time I played I stopped and just watched the river boat for a while. I had never realized it just drives in circles. I guess it makes sense but still. I never really thought about it

It came like that, but I hadn’t noticed that until you pointed it out lmao

Does the online work with Linux? I had assumed it wouldn’t under proton but if it does I might give it a try

I love saying protagonists humanized. I feel like it’s easy to make a protagonist that’s just a bland stand in for the player. But to make a protagonist that’s feels like they actually breathe and live in the game world and not just cutscenes and dialog? There’s something really neat about that I love

I just got my deck back after loaning it out, so I might have to give it a try on there out of sheer curiosity

Yotei lost a lot of interest from me when I found out it won’t be on PC. I do have a PS5 I bought second hand from a friend but really that’s just to play my old PS4 games and some occasional PS5 releases. With the 80$ price tag I’m really thinking I’ll skip out on Yotei. Which is a shame. I was excited

It makes me happy to see me inspiring others to pick things up. It’s something i always hope to do when I post these.
I know things are rough right now for a lot of people, both socially or even just mentally, but even just giving people suggestions of things to try that may be within their options (like older games they may not have known exist) is something I’d like to do (though I bet it’s probably a bit weird to hear me say because I play a bunch of newer-ish games).
I’m not really sure what the point is I’m trying to make, but im happy too motivate people to try new things.
You are right about my friends too. I probably don’t give them nearly enough credit but they’re a large reason I’ve managed to keep from getting into a slump myself. Even just waking up in the morning and seeing someone say “Hey, you guys free for Halo?” or saying “anyone want to hop onto Zomboid tonight?” really brightens my day and helps me feel a little less alone or burnt out. I doubt any of them will see this (and I’m going to go tell them I appreciate them after this) but they’re definitely an unspoken motivator for me

LASO is definitely one of our major road blocks, I’m doing it Co-Op (because iron skull) but we’ve been maybe working on it for half a year? Haven’t made it past level 4 of CE. Another major block is the multiplayer achievements. I keep putting of Skunked in hope they make it where it can be done in a custom game, but I know I’m probably only shooting myself in the foot there
The reaction time is definitely what I was considering too. Especially because with Reach some players have sprint. So you can close that gap a whole lot faster
Exactly the camp I was in lol. I didn’t have a computer and only got Xbox 360 edition like 2014 so mods weren’t exactly an option
