Making your own fun is all about having goals! The only difference is that you set the goals themselves and there is no external penalty for not meeting them. Like, trying to play a game without the best weapons, or trying to come up with some checklist of tasks to accomplish. Even doing the steam achievements for Prey was quite rewarding, especially the “no needles” one.

That’s why I came up with creative solutions to that slump like finding every corpse or unlocking every neuromod through recycling and necromancy. Yeah, even though New Vegas actually delivers on the RPG mechanics better than regular Bethesda games, the gameplay is still based on the Bethesda open world format. It’s probably the best version of it, but if it isn’t for you there’s isn’t much to be done.

Also, if you like games like to BioShock, Arkane’s Prey is one of my favorites from the last 10 years.
