Trans rights are human rights. Not because I fear of a near future that directly impacts me or my loved ones, but because I’m not a fucking monster. It should be the absolute baseline of human empathy.

That said, there are FAR too many people indirectly in the Trump bubble that might hate him but also “don’t approve of LGBTQ lifestyle choices”. They may be misguided, stupid, fundamentally broken or just evil. But still capable of thinking pragmatically at some level and THIS might just resonate with them.

I have a car who used to jump onto the sides of the tub while I bathe… until the time she fell in.

Thankfully she was stunned by her misstep on top of being a very calm cat, so I didn’t end up with a flurry of claws stuck in me.

Fun side note… I bought it from the same computer store where I nearly bowled over Robin Williams in 1984 (Santa Rosa, CA). I was very aware of who he was, having grown up watching Mork and Mindy and watched one of his standup specials a LOT of times.

I was wandering around the games case, fixated on said games and noticed a person out of the corner of my eye right before slamming into them. And it was HIM. I couldn’t say a word. And he looked as if he couldn’t figure out this weird nerd and just moved around me.

I still think back on that day frequently enough.
