  • Built? By whom?

The issue with soviet blocks was not the density. The actual design was brilliant as each of these blocks had all conveniences like schools and shops within reach.

The issue as with most soviet union is corruption and management incompetence. They took one design and applied to 15% of world’s land mass. So the house in deep Siberia and coast of warm Azerbaijan were the almost the same. To add society was so broken than no one actually cared for the vision these houses had. This is entirely system failure not a design one.

People live just fine in close quarters - just take a look at Japan.

  • You must be living under a rock if you think Iran hasn’t been stirring shit for decades. It’s an awful theocratic dictatorship that has done nothing but spread misery and horror in it’s wake.

I’d agree with you that US fucked everyone really bad here and is absolutely immoral and wrong in this part of the conflict but Iran is really really fucking bad too and has been for decades.

  • I really like low scale anarchy (town level) but high scale would only work with strong scifi-level decentralization tools where public goods can be negotiated and developed without massive centralized bodies.

Alternatively society has to enter a post resource scarcity era - as in star trek replicator level of advancement.

Another way it could work if there was a massive population reduction as very few people in the world left but at that point political systems are the least interesting thing to think about.

Unfortunately due to game theory and real life power curves true global anarchism with current technology is simply impossible.
