I’m plenty familiar with anarchy but it’s not a valid strategy for large systems. Some systems are better for small scales some for big ones, it’s not a single shoe fit all.

Socialist of what kind? Socialist communism is as close to fascism as you can get without being explicitly fascist.

No I take my existence seriously and take responsibility. Just because a person is not capable of holding responsibility doesn’t mean they’re entitled to the position - can’t do it? Then fucking do something else.

Sure but it’s only reality because everyone’s too pussy to take responsibility thus the framework is not protecting agency. So it becomes and endless circle of no one’s taking responsibility out of fear thus no one’s agency is being protected.
The answer here has been clear since ancient Greek philosophers - virtue. As a soldier, or any professional for that matter, you have to rule your position through virtue not fear. This is the only way to resist oppression and deception.

Yes agency - what an awful thing to have. Better be a mindless drone and just coast through life being someone’s bitch huh
I’m not directing this at you btw. Just this mentality of “oh I have no choice but to submit” is what got us in ww3 to begin with.

not enforcing
Seems like the law doesn’t apply here not that it’s not enforced. If war does come similar law will be passed ether way.
I’d agree with you though from philosophical pov - the government should never be allowed to contain you even if you’re dodging the draft.
Built? By whom?
The issue with soviet blocks was not the density. The actual design was brilliant as each of these blocks had all conveniences like schools and shops within reach.
The issue as with most soviet union is corruption and management incompetence. They took one design and applied to 15% of world’s land mass. So the house in deep Siberia and coast of warm Azerbaijan were the almost the same. To add society was so broken than no one actually cared for the vision these houses had. This is entirely system failure not a design one.
People live just fine in close quarters - just take a look at Japan.
You must be living under a rock if you think Iran hasn’t been stirring shit for decades. It’s an awful theocratic dictatorship that has done nothing but spread misery and horror in it’s wake.
I’d agree with you that US fucked everyone really bad here and is absolutely immoral and wrong in this part of the conflict but Iran is really really fucking bad too and has been for decades.
More content is good in a system like Lemmy which is designed around filtering. So continue posting!

Nah your diminishing the efforts of domestic Israeli opposition. It has been significantly weakened but your statement is unfair to people who tried. To truly change this we need both internal and external pressures and cooperation.

I never commented anything even remotely close to zionism. Israel is still the only place that at least tries to respect individual rights of it’s society (like being gay).
The issue really is the change in utilitarian calculation as their spread of injustice and disruption in the region far outweighs their respect for individual freedoms thus it turned from a problematic net positive to a very clear net negative.

Disgusting how little coverage this is getting.
I used to side with Israel (you can check my history) but it’s clear that Israeli people have given up on justice and fully embraced fascism.
I don’t follow. What? When you see two evil dudes fight do you start rooting for the one that got punched first just because they got punched first?
Doesn’t all tech have serial numbers these days? Is no one checking?

Authoritarianism - it doesn’t roll of the tongue though as you can see

How do you get that? Is there a quizz and do you get the hat?

Yes I do think giving them brainspace would be unethical but I’d agree with you that in practice is not impactful. That being said I imagine if employed at mass scale would have positive effects on our society. Attention matters in how society develops.

That’s the great thing about decentralization - we can migrate very easily!

I really like low scale anarchy (town level) but high scale would only work with strong scifi-level decentralization tools where public goods can be negotiated and developed without massive centralized bodies.
Alternatively society has to enter a post resource scarcity era - as in star trek replicator level of advancement.
Another way it could work if there was a massive population reduction as very few people in the world left but at that point political systems are the least interesting thing to think about.
Unfortunately due to game theory and real life power curves true global anarchism with current technology is simply impossible.
It’s a tool that you need to learn. Try some of claude.md files people share online for your programming area as a starter. You still need to review what it does but just asking for it to create tests as it creates code does a lot to improve output.
