about
This is the first single from the upcoming album, Full Scrotal Scorpio. I wrote, produced and mixed it myself. The song is an aggressive dreamy warp with a punk piano solo in the middle. The song is about categories and generations and being forced into these boxes so we can fight the people in the other boxes without ever really getting to know anyone. It’s also very “God bless the child that’s got their own.”
lyrics
All the things you say we are I
never was at all.
You love your cage of traits and dates.
All the things you say we did I
never lived at all.
You renovate the cage with age.
Mother may I?
Mother made you.
But, no one made me.
I’m not like you.
“Mother” say I.
Mother holds you.
But, no one holds me.
I’m not like you.
The days you say we lived within make
zero sense at all.
A day like that I can’t recall.
X, Y, Z, A Scattergory game of
You Know It All.
“Us and Them” :
It never ends.
Mother may I?
Mother made you.
But, no one made me.
I’m not like you.
“Mother” say I.
Mother, OH!
But, no one holds me.
I’m not like you.
Demograph I?
Demo-coop you.
But, nothing holds me.
I’m not like you.
Mother, ain’t I.
Mother? No!
No one made me.
I’m not like you.
No group includes me.
I’m not like you.
You might have to
get to know you.
