Legal Answers
10 Questions Answered
Q. Can we pursue legal action for a wrongful death in Maryland involving a driver related to the sheriff when charges are minimal?
A: Yes, statutory wrongful death beneficiaries may pursue a wrongful death action against the negligent driver, even if the negligent driver was not charged at all. The estate of the deceased person may pursue a survival action against the negligent driver.
Q. wife left about two and a half years ago and absent, has a closed child abuse case, confirmed by hospital, wants custody
A: Unlikely. But the situation is apparently very complicated, and one can never be certain what one judge will do. You need to retain a lawyer.
Q. What should I do if my dog who is not considered as a dangerous dog got to bite someone
A: You should immediately report the incident to your homeowners insurance company.
