as far as desktops go its pretty bad, barebones feature wise and really buggy. There is no way id ever ship that to users without a warning (which is what pop did)
Luke has had problems he mentions on the WAN show. But they two really arent comparable because Luke’s use case is completely different hes much closer to the average person. He only uses a web browser and some light gaming.
That should have been a layup for linux ngl.
This really shouldn’t be a hot take but I think the people here will disagree. “Linus unironically did nothing wrong in his linux challenge video” The linux community really shouldnt act like he was using it wrong because its a terrible look.
No reasonable person can pretend there are no issues with linux. Sure you can get good at using linux and not run into these issues but they still exist and people will still run into them and you shouldnt blame the person.
no pewdiepie 1000% messed things up on linux. the difference is he didnt show it in his videos
he installed pop and it shipped cosmic by default with no warning that it was unstable. He had a bad experience for 2 days then switched to another distro.

It would only ever cost $4 to watch a video without an ad if an advertiser was willing to spend $4 to show you an ad.
I know I only say 5x to show just how cheap it would actually be to outbid advertisers.
No I wouldnt prompt them at all because the costs would be so low. Even if you paid 5x what an ad pays you’d spend less than a dollar or two a week. But people hate the idea of paying half a cent when visiting a website or watching a youtube video because they think they either shouldnt have to or that it will eventually become $2 to vist that blog and $4 to watch that video and thats a horrible future.

Its a good idea but mentally people hate micro-transactions(transactions that are lower than 10cents) so they get mad every time its suggested. Plus its technically quite challenging to process those kind of transactions efficiently.

2·9 days agoI use Phocid and its good but it has this thing that drives me insane. Default behavior is when you select a song to begin playing it as a playlist. But if you search it treats the results as a playlist. Ok fine I can long press the song and add to queue.
But I change the default behavior to select a song being add to queue there is no option to long press and play as a playlist. Am I using it wrong or missing a way to use the app properly?

29·10 days agoyes they love it because they dont feel the full pain of this war tucked safely away in their bunker. Thats all on their citizens who have to live their lives day to day.
Can you give me an example of this happening in real life so I can understand what you mean? I dont see that at all as liberal politician thing. To me it comes off as listing a bunch of things you dont like then labeling it liberal.
Edit: Never mind just realized what instance this taking place on. No point in continuing this discussion.
