Why not just use GrapheneOS? The only unique feature this phone has is the physical battery kill switch.

Technology@lemmy.world•Dad stuck in support nightmare after teen lied about age on Discord- Ars TechnicaEnglish
1·2 days agoTo be fair, when AI assisted support it’s done well you don’t even notice. Don’t get me wrong, 99% of support chatbots are useless, lazily implemented, awful to deal with, and just waste human time. Companies should focus on good support, the specific tooling is irrelevant. I’ve dealt with support humans that act like robots and robots that quickly escalate my issue to a human that can solve my problem.

24·5 days agoChina has some cold areas with climates similar to many Canadian cities so I would expect fairly good results. Unlike my friends Tesla where cruise control wouldn’t work in winter because it relied on cameras that would get snow covered (obviously designed and treated in sunny California).

15·9 days agoI’m pretty sure mastodon has a copyleft licence meaning that it can be used for commercial use but the updated software also needs to maintain the same licence. That’s why I chose the word “stole”. They’re not honouring the licence so it’s stolen.

25·9 days agoIt may be based on stolen mastodon code but truth social has never been federated. It’s always been an isolated instance

3·15 days agoThanks for the great feedback. I added collision avoidance for land and friendly vessels and greatly improved the frigate behaviours. We’ll see if my behaviour logic is smart enough to deal with complex navigation like in your screenshot. I’m hoping the improve collision avoidance will solve the crazy auto pilot issue and that way you can just engage the auto pilot to know what way to go. I just deployed those changes. Thanks again!

5·15 days agoThis is really useful feedback, thank you. Maybe a direction signal to the closest ship would be useful. I’m also noticing some quad copters getting stuck. I should probably limit their air time to 20 mins and display that. I’ll add a front for the quad copter next. Cheers!

100% with VPN services you’re shifting the trust, not removing the trust. And sorry, I just meant that as a general comment, I didn’t think you were implying that the UP phone’s implementation was inherently secure.
