No, no, you’re right. My bad for not being meticulous when reading your misleading shit from 2016 and focusing on more pressing matters like a power-tripping asshole threatening nukes just a few days ago. My absolute bad for confusing those two by assuming Lemmy is a website about current events when it’s consistently stuck in the past. It was all me for browsing this fucking site full of assholes.

How is it now about capitalism when we just had a scare about nukes and everything else going on? God, you people are so obnoxious.
And yet you’re posting it in 2026? The fuck is that about?
It was literally the latest news not even a week ago, what are you on about. This whole year has been about the US shitting on everything. Tf are you on about?
It’s not clear what the OP is talking about. It could be the nukes, but it could also be the return to fossil fuels and withdrawal from the Paris Agreement by Trump, “mate”.
But this is not necessarily capitalism. This is Trump not wanting to go to prison. I know the sentiment in Lemmy is super anti capitalist and with good reason, but let’s not fool ourselves. There’s a literal Pedophile in Charge trying to flood the zone.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why don't I care about the Artemis mission/program?
271·5 days agoI don’t care because it doesn’t seem like a genuine mission to prove something. It feels like a purely political stunt. At least with the original mission, it was breaking a frontier on top of trying ot show off to Russia during the Cold War, but this time it’s only the US flexing as mandated by the Orangegutan in Charge because he can and it feels icky.

Sandel and his colleagues said their findings encourage people to rethink what they know of human conflict and warfare.
Not this annoying bullshit every time. I blame this stupid ass establishment needing to justify funding by circling back everything for our convenience. Can we not appreciate nature for what it is for once?

7·5 days agoThis works so well. I’ve been on the receiving end of that, and I wanted more than nothing more than to help resolve their issue. I felt acknowledged and validated, and wanted nothing but to return the favor. Do this.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What unethical life hack would you recommend to others?
10·5 days agoI’ve tried this, and it doesn’t work. If you’re not average-looking enough, the receptionists will be suspicious of you and ask you to name your room number and who you were with. Just ask to borrow a charger in a pinch so you can get 5% battery or something.

7·5 days agoNo, it’ll backfire spectacularly, and I’ve lived it. When someone’s a habitual liar, people will get accustomed to them and nobody bats an eye. But if you’re always honest and one day you fuck up and they find out, word will spread, the rumor will grow, and it’ll create a bigger ripple. You’d have broken a realiance where people will feel the need to adjust their views on you.

I said you’re right, is that not enough? Nothing is misleading about a tweet from 2016 that overlaps with current events today on a site that focuses 90% about US news all day, every day, after we had a pretty serious scare. You’ve done nothing wrong. It’s my fault for not being meticulous when consuming your outdated shit. My bad for making reasonable assumptions about what looks like current political commentary and skipping over a date. Congrats, you win. My fucking bad.
