Also a good one! I learned something funny when setting up my Lemmy instance. The name/title value for the instance has a character limit, so I had to change “Orcas Enjoying Yachts” into “OrcasEnjoyingYachts”. So if I had gone with something longer, I would’ve gotten myself into a bit of a pickle 😅

That is an insanely astute description of the feeling. It would make me really indifferent to everything and I was noticeably short with people. It was wild how obvious it was to myself too, and not one of those scenarios where someone else has to finally tell you.

Thanks for the info! It was Atomoxetine, which I think is also under some other names. I need to really get a formal diagnosis though like you did. I’ve encountered that crash before and it’s the worst. Felt like I immediately needed a nap when it hit.

Do you run into any mood changes? I was on a non-stim for a while and haven’t medicated at all since because I hated how moody it made me.

I definitely didn’t understand most of it then as a kid, but I feel like it opened a doorway that shaped who I am today. That was also in the 90s when US society wasn’t yet destitute for working class families.

My parents were antiwar and liberal af. My mom once told me as a kid that if the draft happened, they’d move me to Canada. So I was radicalized pretty early on about imperialism (in the most rudimentary sense—I was a kid after all).
