Peggle is part of the realm of games that became mobile games after modern smartphones became a thing. Casual gameplay, short levels so you could play for a few minutes and leave, lots of levels that are essentially the same to give good playtime for the development cost. Just on a PC and without the whale hunting that microtransactions later brought.

Have you heard of Peglin? It is the basic gameplay of Peggle but with roguelite RPG elements.

I have the Libra 2 and love it. Nice thumb rail with page-turning buttons. Doesn’t need jailbreaking to install KOReader or do whatever else I want.

Both Mistborn ages are really tight, making them easy reads. Intriguing magic, moving story, great characters.

Stormlight has all the same elements, but it lets every character have their own storyline. It’s sprawling. It lets you see more sides of it.

Earthsea is beautiful. There aren’t very many books, and they were written across 50ish years. They evolved with the genre, allowing readers a clear window into how we got to the modern works of Jordan, Sanderson, etc.

The claim that they are doing a clean-room implementation is bullshit. The only way any of these models are able to make any working code is by being trained on every bit of code that could be scraped from the internet. Unless the project you are cloning was released after the model was trained, it was trained on the code. It may be a tiny fragment of the training data, but it still saw it.

They didn’t even colorpick-paint it out, which would be super easy with this style. They used a sloppy content-fill magic erase tool that smudged the panel line out into the cell.

It’s been two years since I read the book, but everything lined up with my memory. For two days after seeing it, my wife was unpacking stuff and asking me to explain things, which I was able to do.
