Buy a single-board x86 or ARM PC with more than one ethernet port on it and install openwrt, or opn/pfsense on it depending on your sensibilities and enjoy.

I use an OpenWRT ONE router, it’s a BananaPi with OpenWRT on it.

Update and reboot regularly, don’t get behind.
