  • This could be interesting indeed, though in my case as I only really download epubs that are autoconverted to azw3 with my custom parameters and are loaded via the same usb I use to charge it anyway, I’m not sure I’d have much to gain here.

What do you mean stop supporting? Do they just stop providing updates? Do updates really matter on an ereader?

If you have a slow cooker or dutch oven, making a basic stew is a simple as cutting veggies and throwing that with some broth and beef cubes for a few hours. Spice it with a lot of thyme and garlic. For a better broth, consider red wine (the cheapest is fine) and thicken it with corn starch.

I always do stews for myself and I live alone. You can store the extra portions in mason jars, keeps very well, though if you’re doing that I recommend whole small potatoes since cut ones will dissolve over time.

  • From what I’ve heard, it wasn’t released, they were uploaded and it’s url kept private. Imo they probably did that to send it to a few highly ranked people so they could check if they agreed with the censorship before releasing them. However, the URL for those to-be-released files were easily guessed based on the pattern of the previously already public ones.

“pika” on its own is a sudden flash of light. This onomatopeia is very old (edo era old). What kind of light flashes do you think you’d find 400 years ago? There was pretty much just lightning. Not to be confused with the repeated “pika pika” which like the other commenter said indicates more of a glimmer or shiny and is way more common today.

There’s a pattern to it. I don’t know what it is, and I’m not sure anyone knows consciously. But for example, when creating new words (eg. fantasy/sci-fi context) there usually isn’t any confusion as to what that word’s gender will be, it just sounds bad with the wrong pronoun. There are a few exceptions of course, same as “autobus” and “avion” which technically have a gender assigned but people toss a coin every time.
