It’s fine, they’ll just give police powers to move them on from the suburbs next.

Why in God’s name is the levy on electricity and not on gas?

Unemployment at the highest rate since National were last in power. I guess we’re back on track?

How about a nice “Hello” and no physical contact of any kind?

Each year I dump all the power plans I can find into a spreadsheet and compare with an exported CSV of my usage (half hourly) to make sure I’m on the best plan (and switch if I’m not).
It’s onerous to say the least. This should help immensely.

Drum spider and drum with two dissimilar metals that react and eats the drum spider away with use?
They’ve been doing it for decades at this point. No idea why people buy Samsung appliances.
Then again even Bosch and Miele have started using plastic welded drums which prevent repair of simple parts like bearings and motors so… Fuck us all I guess.

Was that an EV problem, or a “modern car with big wheels and shallow rims” problem?
The Ioniq 5 and the Tucson both have the same 235 / 55 R19 wheels and tyres for example.

The tech was great, but they alienated everyone by making it compulsory at the start and trying to shoe horn its adoption.
Agree that Nintendo could get away with it.

Remember how much money they wasted on Kinect?
I feel like the female birds should be wearing brown.

Having spent a lot of time in hospital with my wife who was in and out of the ICU, formalising this is great.
But, I have reservations. Shared hospital rooms are already loud places where patients have interrupted sleep at best. More people in there when they don’t need to be is not a good thing.
That, and we should just be hiring enough nurses to do the job, and not farming off the work onto family members because this government are too laser focused on tax cuts for the wealthy, than funding basic essential services.

The battery in my 13 Pro is absolute toast. I was thinking of upgrading but really, what benefit is there?
It’s no lighter, it’s thicker, the performance may be faster on paper but I doubt I’d notice.
Maybe I’ll just replace the battery and wait a few more years.

They’re probably just glad he’s sober

I’m not wishing, I’m voting. Writing submissions and advocating for a fairer system.

All the more reason Ukraine needs our support.
This is helping a democracy resist foreign conquest, not some arbitrary ‘war on terror’.

We can. We’ve just chosen to spend billions on tax cuts that (as always) disproportionately help the upper echelons of wealth in this country.
We could easily fund all of this by simply having a fair tax system. We choose not to.

Our contribution has mostly been assisting in military training, humanitarian aid and giving them some ageing equipment. Last I checked our per capita contribution to Ukraine was lower than even Russian allies like China. We can and should do more.
I agree we should be supporting the Palestinians, but these two stances aren’t mutually exclusive.
We have more than enough to look after our own people AND support democracies fighting for their freedom.

Defending a democracy being invaded by their autocratic neighbour is something I fully support. We should be doing everything in our (limited) power to help.
The issues you’ve raised are important, but the fix for that isn’t abandoning Ukraine, it’s a fair and balanced tax system.
Ireland was exporting food during the potato famine.
Don’t assume your food won’t continue to be sold overseas if the growers/wholesalers can make more money that way.
