So basic makeup skills can be learned a few ways. A lot of people swear by tutorials like on YouTube/tiktok/wherever, but I never did. Alternatively or additionally look at communities like makeupaddiction on reddit and when you like something seriously look at what they did in order to do it. You’ll start to notice techniques that you can adapt for your own purposes.

Practice is going to be the most important thing, just try it out on nights you’re staying in (there’s a faction of us who learned while recovering from bottom surgery for that reason).

And in that vein, learning what looks good on you will involve learning what colors work with you. I looked awful in the first lipstick I tried because I went with something moderate and ordinary. However with my skin, hair, and eye colors if I’m not going subdued (at which point I personally don’t wear any makeup because my face is plenty fine as is, yes I did read a lot of feminism while transitioning), then I’m better off going with dark colors, including lip shades that I’ve had to give cis women courage to try.

The idea being that this is a person who engaged in the alt version of peaking in high school, compared to what we’re seeing as someone who’s living her best life even if it’s not what others would see as a best life. Yeah, also medium sized Midwestern cities remain a hub of those countercultures, not because people never bothered leaving, but because they remain trapped, or maybe because thats where they managed to leave to. It’s easy to think that if you don’t wind up in a major coastal city you failed to make it, but for some people getting out of their home town and making it in the city means moving to Cleveland.

We evolved in the opposite path and optimized heavily for easily digested foods. We then take it a step further and cook them breaking the difficult to digest parts into an easer to digest form.

Also we do eat grasses, but only their seeds and fruits. Wheat, maize, rice, and bananas are all grasses

Yeah, you can get a great degree or trade apprenticeship that should guarantee a good financial life, but be fucked by the market deciding your career is no longer as needed, or too many people got into it at a similar time or even you got injured in a way that prevents you from utilizing it. Life happens. A good strategy is a good strategy even if it doesn’t work, and a bad strategy is a bad strategy even if it does work.

Yeah if you need more jobs either find work that’s good to do but normally can’t be justified like the American CCC did or cut hours for similar pay
