The game is Toejam & Earl. Falling off the end of a level sends you to the previous level, unless you fall through a hole in that map, then you fall to the next level, and so on.
There’s also a secret place where you can fall off in level one to go to the secret zero level.

In the Elder Scrolls lore, among other weird concepts, planets are literal gods and are not really spheres. they only appear so because they’re infinite and impossible to grasp for human minds.

I mean, imagine how much money they spend on flying an airplane 24/7 to make it look like ISS is in space.
