Free seating open office is soul crushing. It kills any sort of personality, and really stifles creativity.

Theres nothing better, they have a monopoly. Everything else is going to be a huge downgrade.
So to ease me into something that scratches that itch, I am asking for alternatives. Something interesting I can learn from during breakfast with my wife. Unfortunately alternatives are not great, they all lack something vital. Biggest issue is too few creators. So using Grayjay connected to different other platforms can maybe cover some of the need.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do wealthy people know if the people they meet are wealthy or not?
6·22 days agoRead about cultural capital. The rich are nonchalant towards things that others have to adopt or learn. They are “naturally” adapted to it. Which means that they haven’t learned french, they absorbed it by living in France for some years. So they act as if it is nothing, it is just something they just do and know. They can easily spot someone who is striving to be one of them.
Often you don’t know what you don’t know. So your reflection and argumentation has to be based on something. In order to achieve your goal you also have to do research in order for it to be sufficiently valuable.
LLMs are great for finding “what you don’t know” fast.
This strengthens your ability to both reflect and research topics manually. Which should be the last stop.
Just bought two games 😁

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•RIP Discord: Self-Hosted Discord Alternatives Tested (TeamSpeak, Stoat, Fluxer, Matrix, & More)English
3·27 days agoMaybe not, but it would probably grow immensly. The exodus from discord is pretty significant, and matrix is mentioned again and again. It does not have to be that many more users in % from Discord to make matrix a lot more popular than it is today

4·29 days agoWe have this concept of “quarantine-time”, it is the period in which we still remember that she did something disgusting. As soon as we forget, then it is all good.

Political Memes@lemmy.world•Sucks to know I can never trust these people.
9·1 month agoNot american, but come on. Americans preferred a incoherent, rambling, (highly probable) rapist, felon, coup-inciting, and obvious authoritarian fascist over her. The US was already lost.
If I was an American I would’ve voted for her, even as a leftist, even if the democrats also support genocide.
Do your mouth and teeth taste something? I just taste whstever I just ate and bits and pieces that are left, if any.

Obviously 1 and 4. I’d be happy and filthy rich in no time.
