Not sure on if there’s a way to update it purely on linux, but you can pretty easily get a windows VM going and passthru USB to the VM. I’ve done this with a razer mouse since the (unofficial) software for razer on linux was lacking in my use case

I’ve been in a similar situation

edit: For context, there was a bug with the graphics driver that was putting out an error every frame, at 200+ fps… needless to say, I could actively see the log growing in size

It didn’t hang up for me on Linux; though I had to disable sleep anyways since after waking up it seemed like every frame had an error and was logging said error into a growing 500 GB syslog

FYI this doesn’t apply to Tricare (military healthcare), it’s 21 in that case (with exceptions for full-time students).
