It’s just risky in numerous ways, especially if the farmer wakes up and has a gun.

Unless somehow you’re lucky enough to own a property large enough and in the right climate to grow your own mushrooms (not in cow shit) and it’s your own cornfield and scarecrow… then you know do whatever you want.

I may be wrong, but I think there’s a way to export subtitle files from mkv files using mkvtoolnix / mkvtoolnix-gui and then import them alongside the film itself if you import the source video file and source subtitle file into kdenlive. At least on Ubuntu, mkvtoolnix is available in the Ubuntu default repository. Kdenlive looks like it has AppImage and Flatpak as installation optionshttps://kdenlive.org/download/.

What format is this video? Is it a file or is it like a DVD on your laptop? Or is it on a streaming service? Are you on Windows or Linux? This was a very good first attempt but there are some relatively simple (and free!) open source tools available that can allow you to edit the section you want to share more easily (unless it’s streaming, don’t actually have simple solutions for that). I would love to help impart some info on where to start.
