I’m of mixed feelings. These protests are great in conservative areas like mine so we can be heartened by seeing so many allies. But in blue cities and states it feels like preaching to the choir.
In blue cities, it is a networking event. There were booths for all sorts of organizations to get people more involved in activism. I was there with Food Not Bombs but there was like 30 booths for Not In Our Name, Veterans for Peace, AIRR, Peaceworks, PSL (Yuck), Labor Unions, and many more.
