My water heater is, by code, on a two-foot high platform. Fortunately, it’s in the garage. I had the new water heater delivered. The delivery guy was a scrawny little guy maybe 70 years old. He was game to take it out of the back of his truck alone, and I think he could have done it, but I helped. I felt sorry for the guy, but he seemed happy enough.
I pushed the old heater off the platform and let it crash to the floor, and used my dolly (the one with wheels) to put it at the curb for pick-up.
I built a ramp up to the platform and shoved/rotated/walked the new heater up the ramp into position.
