Fluxer Status
It’s crazy there haven’t been more outages yet!
on the other hand, I think it’s so cool he was never expecting this to blow up and discord just gave him the boost he needed.
Definitely, I just hope he scales up the dev team now. He’s gotten quite a lot of funding and if Fluxer wants to be a serious Discord competitor I think it needs to be more than a one-man team. It’s very impressive what an he’s managed to do on his own so far, though.
Yeah, I setup zulip in response to discord but looking to try this out once he is done with the rebuild for self hosting.
That’s basically what I’m thinking about my homelab. Almost nothing has a defined fail over, most things run as a single instance on the very same (used, old) hardware but my uptime is way higher than some business critical apps at work LOL

Is it cloud hosted or does he own the hardware?
I think it’s at least moving to cloud, not sure about previous setup. He’s moving to Hetzner’s data centers in Finland I’m pretty sure.
