I have been right more times when imagining the worst case than when imagining the best case. If I plan for the worst case, and the best case happens, it’s a nice surprise and nothing was really lost. If I plan for the best case, and the worst case happens, I’m usually fucked.

Optimism is for idiots or people detached from the real world. Pessimism is for realists.
