Is still one of the best lines in the show.
One thing I have always found weird about the US is how veterans are treated as heroes by default. In Germany if I learn someone is a veteran my most likely response would be something along the lines of “sorry to hear that”, not “thank you for your service”.
That’s mainly my reaction too. Even more strange, despite the hero lip service they get payed, the government treats a lot of them like shit materially
