Good thing? Xbox’s whole naming scheme is just shuffling in place for a while with the ‘360’ and ‘One’ before devolving into incomprehensible ‘series whatever’. Microsoft are comically bad at naming.

P.S. They had actually decent naming going on with ‘Forza Motorsport’ 1-7, and then decided to reset back to no number in 2023 for no good reason. It’s like they’re outright trying to be ridiculous.

The Xbox naming always reminds me of the “New Nintendo 3ds” which was different from the “Nintendo 3ds”. People probably got paid a lot of money to come up with the stupidest names.

‘New 3DS’ wasn’t really that egregious, since it was a revision of 3DS. What was worse is that DS, 3DS, and 2DS were released in that order.

everybody called the xbox 360 “the 360” so they figured if they named the next one the xbox one everybody would call it “the one”

‘Eks bone’ is the kind of thing why designers spend time finding any and all obscene or unbecoming connotations in their projects before the customers have a chance to do that.

It’s weird that that’s just how humor seems to go. At one point, the pinnacle of comedy was someone getting pied in the face.

This is because comedy often revolves around subversion of expectation. When something becomes expected, like a pie to the face, it’s no longer funny.

Like all slapstick tbh. Inspector Clousau doesn’t enter the situation with the expectation that he will push the duchess tits in the wedding cake, and then slip and rip her dress off. Delboy wants to play it nice and cool but still falls down

dammit now i really, intensely miss Peter Sellers. The movie they cut together after his passing was not great, but A Shot In the Dark was phenomenal.

Rage comics were objectively more creative than current memes, because they told stories instead of just slapping text over stock images.

Yeah I used to binge f7u12 for hours at a time. Then one day something just clicked and they were no longer funny. It was weird.
