My wife and I got invited to our friends’ child’s birthday party. It is frozen themed and costumes are encouraged (for adults and children). I know next to nothing about Frozen. Any ideas for costumes for a mid 30s guy? Something that would hopefully not be too hard to put together?

Edit: NOT an adult costume. A costume for an adult to wear. Terrible wording on my part.

    Alternate idea:

Dress up as Frozone from The Incredibles, and just tell them you misheard.

Just get a carrot nose, you can be the snowman. His schtick is that he can’t wait for Summer, because he doesn’t realize he’ll melt.

(Yeah, that’s a spoiler, but if you haven’t seen the movie yet you don’t care)

I love it, I can just say the snow melted off of me before I got to the party.

That may not work the way you think it will, but that’s a spoiler for the second movie, IIRC.

Spoilers… For a joke from a kid’s movie with the plot depth of a sidewalk rain pond from 13 years ago.

Some of the children obsessed with that movie when it came out are old enough to rent a car now.

You say this, but I have seen some of the movies that adults watch, and Frozen is an erudite and intellectual tour de force compared to those. And no, I am not even talking about adult movies.

Sven. One of you can be the front and the other the back.

Yeah, you could be most of the male characters just by trying to match their outfit. Do a Google image search and find someone that kind of looks like you.

whoops… yeah definitely could have worded that better.

  • Dress as one of Elsa and Anna’s parents. It’s more or less just… 1800’s European/Scandinavian fancy dress stuff since other than Sven and the dwarves everyone is of a noble/royal class in classic Disney fantasy style.

You don’t have a lot of options and there’s very few male characters. The culture is like Norwegian/Swedish so dressing like a townsperson wouldn’t be too hard. Here is a character with a pretty typical clothing which would be cool and pretty easy. Another option is just wear all white to dress like a snowman like Olaf.

Bottom right is best costume idea. Green coat, blue necklace, no pants.
