I was a late arrival to the stoner / doom scene. I can’t help feeling like we all got ratfucked out of some amazing releases by the labels that wouldn’t publish this album and basically put the band on hiatus for 20 years.
Did we though? I’m far from the biggest doom fan, but I’d say comparing later sleep to high on fire and Om, I know which albums I listened to more, and it’s not the ones from sleep.
Totally fair point. I’ve probably listened through Advaitic Songs twice as many times as Dopesmoker.
