They had Richardson TX listed on there and mentioned how great their schools are. The top high school there is ranked #441 in Texas by US News. In Texas! As someone who moved from Texas to New England, I can safely say Texas schools are horrible.

Yup. Great place to live if you’re cis, white, male, Christian, straight, and childless.

When I was cis, white, male, Christian, straight, and childless, I lived in Addison. Because that’s where the bars and women were at. Although I met my wife in Denton, so maybe I have no idea what I’m talking about.

But I see absolutely no reason to live in Richardson unless you work in Dallas and don’t want to commute above PGBT. And are willing to deal with shit infrastructure, crap schools, and southern Garland slowly leaking your way.

Round Rock is suburban sprawl, nothing but. If you like single family homes, stroads, and nothing but white republicans, it’s the best place in the world. Otherwise, steer clear.

10,000% agree on the sprawl… Living in Round Rock is a personal hell of basically living in my car to get anything done… but nothing but republican? In my experience it is about half and half… but the Dems I run into are a special kind of Texas-suburb Democrat

Oh good lord. Have you ever driven through Round Rock? It’s a suburban nightmare of snarled traffic and chain restaurants.

I agree. I moved to Austin from Houston, and RR and Pflugerville are pretty much the same urban hellscape I was trying to get away from.
