13·11 days agoSomehow it’s acceptable because a computer is involved. Imagine if the powers that be chose a physical method of obfuscation. Like, what if they said "we’ve decided you can only get this benefit you’re entitled to after flipping a coin to heads.
It’s not shoplifting if you haven’t left the aisle yet. Are they also developing a future crime prediction chip?

10·2 months agoSen. Tim Scott, a close Trump ally and prominent Black Republican from South Carolina who is leading the Senate’s campaign efforts this year, wrote he was “praying it was fake because it’s the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House.”
I’m wracking my brain to determine what Mr. Scott means by “fake”.
The peons crave dynasties 🤷♂️

Did anyone really feel like the CGI was cutting edge at the time? Maybe I was hard to impress, but I felt like it was a bad movie with mid-grade CGI 🤷♂️
But then ICE would read the destination address off the paper and know where the intended recipients are hiding.
It’s an acquired taste
I’m not a lawyer, but my understanding is that US law doesn’t typically operate on technicalities like this. Would the “reasonable man” believe the bumper sticker was an offer to any passers-by to search the car and take any guns they find? I’ll answer my own question — definitely not.
