Sure, I did try npm I stall after cloning to the modules folder per the installation instructions. I did get an error when doing so, which is probably something to post over on the MM forums. I think it has to do with the module not supporting newer versions of something.

Interesting. I’ve not heard of this new battery technology before. Sodium should be much more easily sourced I would think. We’ll see, but for the meantime I’ll hang onto my phone as long as possible and not buy lithium battery powered vehicles. Most people don’t know about the working conditions that those children and adults are exposed to while mining lithium and Cobalt.
The biggest hurdle that needs to be overcome in my own eyes is how we source the precious metals for the batteries. Look up Lithium and Cobalt mines in Africa. Of course this applies to all lithium batteries (phones and cars being the biggest players).
I’ve been using tasker to manage my ringer profiles for so long I didn’t even realize this. When at work (within radius) and connected to the office WiFi the ringer is set to 1 out of 7 level. When out in the manufacturing facility it’s disconnected from WiFi and I’m still inside the radius so the ringer goes to 7 out of 7 level. Works like a charm!
I was 75% that… I was just dumb and my parents heard the sink running at the same time and opened the door and confronted me lol.

I appreciate the extensive response. I see I can build an AMD much better for the same price. Check out this PC Parts Picker list. This is probably top of the line right now? Would you say this would be able to play comfortably for 7+years (obviously estimating)?
I have very little experience with AMD and friends/coworkers are more for Intel. I’m open to either honestly. I have done a little research into cost comparison of the 7900x but I also see now that the 7800x3D is better cost for performance. Would you be able to provide a motherboard that you would recommend for the 7800x3D? I will look into a little more. Thank you!

Amen. Same boat here. I have too much of it now and I want to start migrating to local control. I’m starting on Shelly devices myself.
The most useful profile I use Tasker for is controlling ringer volume at specific times. I always run it on vibrate at home and away from work (I have a watch for important notifications). So if I’m at work and in the office I set the ringer to lowest level 1 so I hear it but it doesn’t go off super loud in a meeting or whatever. If I’m at work and out of the office (in the plant or outside on site) the ringer is at full volume. Automatically goes back to vibrate when I leave the property. Next step to this is when I’m on call. I need to hear my phone ring when I’m on call so when my Google calendar event called weekend duty is occuring I have a profile that keeps my phone on vibrate but when a call is incoming it says sets it to the loudest setting before it starts ringing. This prevents me wife and I from hearing notification dings and beeps from daily use.
This is my favorite use for Tasker but I have others that are almost as good. Maybe this sparked a little inspiration for you.

HA has gotten a lot better in the last year if you haven’t used it in a while. I honestly don’t feel it’s cumbersome. Gone are the days of needing to use YAML code.
What if you made a pin switch in combination with the magnetic switch? Any magnet should work, the magnet from the magnet switch can be replaced with any magnet. Maybe you need a stronger one is all?
Looks like Shelly. If so, if you set up home assistant and get Shelly added do you get all the features you want? I would think so.

It was only a few days ago but I did however get it working. I had an error on npm start that sam in the MM discord helped me solve and then my other problem with it not showing the module was due to me putting “middle-right” when then is not an option. Fixing those two things now makes it work. Thank you for replying!
