If the mechanics are ok, they have done a wonderful job of writing in the past so I’m optimistic.
Fingers crossed!

Oddly it’s the copper wire that is mid

I’m all for new takes on the block game (been looking forward to Hytale and will definitely give it a go sometime in the near future) but after watching the trailer…
It would be hard for me to tell this isn’t Minecraft if I didn’t watch or look into the game on a semi regular basis. It looks incredible derivative.
I’m not saying it’s necessarily in need of the copyright strike I don’t know the rules, but I’m not surprised it got one.
So. Immediate feelings of outrage followed by a mental shrug post trailer viewing.

I think they are implying that no matter which shooter it is, most grandmother’s will have absolutely no clue at all. And, that would imply your mentioning the UI is wildly redundant or misguided because any analysis beyond “shooter” is waaaay out of Grandmas depth.
The XKCD just uses an example of people talking about details that are obviously nonsensical to anyone outside the “in group” (molecular sand lattice science people types).
You with your game knowledge, fall into the “in group” in this instance and the additional details are superfluous.
Don’t think it was a dig at you, just a noticed behaviour. We all do it, especially with topics that we are interested in.

I had a great teacher that did a wonderful job of contextualising it so loved it when I first was told the story.
It’s worth taking a dip into the history books to get a better sense of art culture at the time. It doesn’t ring of genius without it but when you realise just how audacious and tangential to the norm it was chefs kiss. Beautiful.
This is a wild take. Genuinely worried about how you are viewing the folks you interact with.
I spent a fair amount of time working in the food industry. It is way easier to just say what you legitimately would recommend rather then come up with a bizzare lie.

It’s sort of an odd position that exists right now in the anti Trump world.
I think the cavorting with Putin is definitely problematic but if I spoke about my reasons why it wouldn’t likely resonate with anyone pro-trump.
However, if you point out his “beta” moves it seems to cut a bit deeper or resonate with the folks near the fence and might be more effective at moving the needle.
BUT then you have used “man-o-sphere” language to convince folks and that in and of itself is a dangerous space to occupy or push folks towards.
So then need to consider if the bully language is more of a backpedal or is it worth it to get the result folks are looking for.
It’s just a whole lot of unpleasant and hasn’t even hit upon the host of other troubling problems that are happening or looming.
It’s bad in a way that makes me feel like we won’t see any reform untill there is massive upheaval.
So not sure if trying to call out/downvoting the fellow raging against the machine is the real solution but if it works for you I’m glad.
Not ment to be a criticism of your post, just wanted to type out the thought, I don’t usually post but find writing stuff out helps me cope/think through the ick.
Clearly from not “Canada in the late 80s”
100% agree.
Most of my news has been through an active interest on the YouTube. Glad too see such a large turnout, it’s been a wild ride. Pretty scary to watch at times, hard to really tell what the actual consensus is on the ground level.
Good to see people taking action.

Yeah, I find it kinda funny that the “great again” era that is constantly referenced is actually this era of loosing the House and the Senate that is specifically being refrenced now. Mate, you can’t have it both ways; do you want the house and the Senate and the House or do you want it to be “great again?”
Yes exactly right! I love oil and I think we really need to make sure that everyone gets enough food and medicine so that they can learn about why it’s so great. If we get more money into schools and research we will be the best drillers on the planet. Right makes right!

Mate, I get exactly what your throwing down. This whole thread is wild. The disconnect is absurd. I feel like folks are trolling? I honestly am baffled.
Yeah, lots of violence begets violence. Thanks for the link, I gave it a quick scan, will have a read later on.
Well as far as understand it’s to do with the strait by Yeman, Bab al-mandab. My very limited “knowledge” is from a very “in the background while doing chores” series of YouTube videos.
Rockets have been fired from Yeman at ships passing through the strait. Countermeasure missile things exsist to stop ships from being exploded but they cost a literal million dollars a go. A large % of oil going to Europe passes through there or has to go south around the Horn of Africa. Either way is beacoup bucks so the texts were about killing the guy that was getting folks together to fire the rockets.
I didn’t gleam much relevent beyond that.
Like for real? Or is a sort of retorical question of how could killing one individual possibly lead to a substantive enough change in the political landscape?
Without any context it or history its just kinda dickish? Like maybe a good burn to a rival in some sort of relevent scenairo but this just sounds like an attempt to belittle someone by “mistaking” them for something “lesser” then when called on it they double down?
Strikes me as grade school level bullying at best 🤷
Had a read, would toss it in the “boats at night” pile. There was a geneal misread of the intended vibe of one another. Everyone came in with their genuine hats but left with something off-brand.
The original post is more of a commentary on the fact that old trucks have value just in being old trucks. Beyond the vintage stuff that all vehicles have there are certain trucks that are reliable easy to fix, easy to get parts for and not 4 wheeled tanks; valuable to someone who actually uses a truck as a daily worker. It’s a thing that is mostly unique to trucks because of their value as a work vehicle. (Sprinter type vans also have a similar type thing now because of the vanlife™ community)
So, if your in the know the comment reads a lot like a conversation about those 40yo washing machines that never die that people talk about. Like, no one is saying a 40yo washer is better but also why are they better? Kinda thing
Your comment seems genuine but feels like you misread that whole meta conversation that was happening. Then instead of them looping you in and saying, “Yo, I’m only being half serious” they instead came with “old trucks hold their value way more then you think, also stop being so serious” which is a little unclear vibe-wise.
So there’s a bit of back and forth where you guys are just not really clicking and then you hit em with the: “I’m not sure if you’re illiterate, struggle with reading comprehension, or are just plain stupid, tbh” but I assume you were done at that point 🤷

I have all sorts of anxiety surrounding AI. Most of the anxiety comes from the misuse, copyright issues and departure from critical and creative thinking. However, one of the fields I actually think it could be very useful and of great benefit is medicine.
That being said, I’d be a no as well. The way this is worded and he track record we’ve seen with privacy doesn’t fill me with much confidence. Feels like another instance off loading of thinking rather as a tool for better diagnosis.
It sounds like America from the process. The confluence of commercialization of healthcare and tools that can make it look like time and attention has been used leads to some bad places. I’d be very sceptical about any advice medical or otherwise I recieved.
The unfortunate truth is that without these tools the cost of care will be higher for health companies not using the tools. Which means bespoke human led care will be a luxury in America in the near future. I don’t think it’s a reality you are going to be able to avoid.
I would push back at every opportunity, double check all of the information you are getting, ask pointed “why this” questions, make doctors clearly communicate that they are the ones giving the recommendation. At the end of the day a good doctor with AI tools is likely to do a better job.
