World News@lemmy.ml•Ukraine’s Forces and Firepower Are Misallocated, U.S. Officials SayEnglish
631·3 years agoUnnecessarily reductionist/antagonistic. If you had read the article, you would’ve known that the Ukrainians themselves agree with the point. And despite what the title says, the U.S. isn’t the only of Ukrainian’s western partners that thinks a change of strategy in order. This war might be fought primarily by the Ukrainians, but it’s also very clearly a collective responsibility of the western world order.

PC Gaming•Explosively popular indie Battlefield-alike BattleBit Remastered draws a line in the sand against boomsticks: 'no shotguns'
41·3 years agoMakes perfect sense for a game where engagement ranges in a single match will vary from touching distance to 1.5km. Shotguns would be impossible to get into a good spot.

5·3 years agoIdk if it’d even be possible to create a mobile app capable of real-time/on-the-fly upscaling using neural networks, especially when manga pages tend to be quite large. If you want something free, best bet would be to use something like chainner on a reasonably good PC and bulk upscale chapters before loading them into your phone.
Vector is almost certainly going to be nerfed. Not sure about the rest of the SMGs or Medic though.
My guess is that there’s a small explosive radius that does light damage.
Groza is fantastic. I can’t say I have a go-to gun though. Just kinda use whatever I’m in the mood for.

Oddly appropriate that I haven’t seen this template in years.

1·3 years agoI agree that there’s some “hardcore” DNA present in Battlebit, but IMO tactical reloads, leaning and zeroing are great to have even in an arcade title. Btw, zeroing is bound to scroll wheel-- I stumbled upon the binding when I was seeing if scroll wheel switches weapons.
Class balance definitely needs some work, since medics can just kind of do everything well and heal themselves on top of that. This is an early access title though, so I’m sure we’ll see changes.
Also agree that visibility can be difficult sometimes, especially since there are WAY more angles (esp on urban maps) that you have to account for. There’s also been times where the friendly blue dots overlapped with an enemy, so I thought the enemy was a friendly. I’d say the game has a steeper learning curve than the BF games-- Battlebit didn’t really “click” for me until after the playtests were over. But now that it has clicked, I’ve been having a blast.

Such a bog-standard whataboutism that I couldn’t even be bothered to roll my eyes anymore. Thanks for showing your true colors.
